Restoring Milwaukee's Music Scene
Milwaukee historically has been a great place for musicians to begin and grow their musical journeys. Lately, as clubs have begun to shut down and people have become less willing to watch local acts, this has changed. “I CAN START A BAND TOO” seeks to transform that and restore Milwaukee’s music scene to what it once was. We want to guide and inspire musicians to create and form bands, as well as share resources and knowledge with them.

Pat McCurdy, of Yipes!, talks about how his band became successful
Pat McCurdy played in various bands, such as Yipes!, The Men About Town and The Confidentials, so if his name sounds familiar, it may be from back then. He's been playing in bands since 1971. Yipes!, thanks to a lot of hard work, released two albums on the RCA / Millennium label. Pat talks about how Yipes! was formed and the road they took to be successful. He also talks about how he continues to have a career in music.
